We will be back soon!!
Hello Readers,
We regret the fact that we have been dead (read totally inactive) since almost a month now. We dont have anyone to blame for this and we are very sorry about the fact that we failed in the Social Media 365 project. We have estimated it wrongly that we would be able to generate fresh content everyday with the limited experience we have in the space of Social Media (Which according to us is an art). Having said that we are not over and out, We will be back soon. Infact very soon with a new look and a new way to take this blog forward in a more meaningful and effective way. We are happy about each and every post we have written so far and we are determined to take this initiative forward.
We will be back and this time we will be back with a much feasible and meaningful approach. This post is to announce a fresh start after an abrupt end..
Stay tuned for more alerts.

Social Media 365, Day 18 Case Study on #beatcancer campaign (Social Media for a Social Cause)
Day : 18/365 : As you all know our team is currently busy in promoting the #talkforindia campaign to fight terrorism, and we have decided to blog on how Social Media could successfully help raise funds for a noble cause. We will be covering a case study on the #beatcancer campaign sponsored by MillerCoors, eBay/PayPal and Genesis Today.
The campaign made it into the Guinness Book World Record “for the distribution of the largest mass message through social media” in a 24 hour period.
The concept is rather simple. For every tweet, Facebook status update, or blog post containing the #beatcancer hashtag, eBay/PayPal and MillerCoors will be donating 1 cent to cancer research. With a captive audience of social media addicts, the hope is that the campaign will go viral and raise significant money for several charities. At the end of 24 hours there were 673192 Mentions.. And the campaign could generate around $70,000 in 24 hours . ( It generated more than 1 cent per mention Infact it was able to generate more than 10 cents per mention through other sponsorships and donations).
Here are some updates on the #talkforindia campaign which we launched yesterday. We are basically supporting a cause to raise funds by publicizing it on Social Media. We have got over 200 hits on the page since we took it live. You can now show your support by adding a “Twibbon” to your profile image. Click here to add your twibbon now.
Hope you liked the post…
Thanks for reading.
